Engaging in excessive triathlon racing, trail running, marathons, and competitive soccer and basketball games, alongside strained relationships and a disconnection from his authentic self, Kevin experienced physical and mental strain. This manifested as joint pains, digestive issues, itchy skin, anxiety, and gluten intolerance.
Turning to Ayurveda for a natural and holistic solution, Kevin underwent a transformative journey that revitalized him on physical, mental, and spiritual levels. Inspired by his own healing, he felt compelled to share the benefits of Ayurveda with others, leading him to pursue a career in the field.
Kevin graduated from Kerala Ayurveda Academy as an Ayurvedic Health Practitioner and Panchakarma Technician, subsequently becoming a professional member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) as a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner.
Passionate about Ayurveda’s profound yet simple principles for maintaining a healthy lifestyle, Kevin emphasizes the importance of connecting with nature to nourish oneself holistically. He believes that integrating Ayurvedic practices into modern life can enhance awareness and overall well-being, offering a wide array of tools to enrich life’s quality and productivity.
Continuing to study, practice, and educate others about Ayurveda, Kevin finds deep fulfillment in contributing to the well-being of others. He holds a profound reverence for the Vaidyas who have guided him on his journey and fostered the gift of healing within him.
Tucson
The Saguaro cacti have always reminded me of the diverse communities of Tucson. Birthed from the phrase “Cuk Son” of the Tohono O’odham Native American people, Tucson is home to these majestic cacti. It is said the Saguaro possesses traits like inner wisdom, authority, resilience, mental awareness, protection, and a deep connection to ancestors, all of which I see personified by the individuals I call neighbors.
As a proud, born and raised Tucson native, I am creating a conscious effort to find unity in diversity by connecting with the land, people, and communities that live in Tucson, using the simple yet profound principles of Ayurveda. A foundational principle in Ayurveda is that we are part of nature, which has all the resources to help us live a healthy, peaceful, and balanced life. It is my intention to make a positive shift in the local community by helping each individual reconnect with nature and help their inner wisdom blossom, just like a Saguaro cactus.
